Georgio Szilagyi spends his final days painting in the middle of nowhere, observing vast skies, golden fields, rolling hills and scenic seas. After his father immigrated from Hungary in the early 1900's, he married and started a family here in the United States. Georgio is the youngest of 13 children. He and his 12 siblings grew up in the USA, and Georgio attended various fine art training programs, classes and workshops while working multiple odd jobs to help support the large family.
Painting has always been his first love, and after retirement he moved to a secluded location where he could paint full-time and enjoy the beauty of the natural world. His paintings all come from memories, imagination, and feelings. He paints in a variety of mediums to achieve a fine luminosity to the ethereal works, reminiscent of special moments in time, recorded only into memory. |
Not into the gallery scene, and to save money on art supplies, Georgio paints over his originals time and time again, until a canvas is no longer of use. Each final piece is photographed before this stage, however, and one fine art canvas print is produced in a size acceptable to the artist. Georgio signs the print before it makes its way to the collector.
ABOUT THE LIMITED EDITION SIGNED PRINTS: Prints are created on archival, gallery wrapped fine art canvas on 1 1/2" stretcher bars. All prints have black sides. Hanging hardware is provided so your limited edition print can be displayed immediately upon receipt. Contact us with the name of the limited edition you wish to purchase, and we will send you a Paypal invoice. Shipping is including in the pricing. Please allow up to three weeks for shipping and receipt of your print. You will be notified of the shipping date at the email provided when you purchased the art.
